MATTHEW GRANDE
Family:
My wife Meghan and our black lab Rio (who doubles as the box mascot!)
Athletic Background:
If it's a sport, odds are I've done it, but once I entered High School I focused on lacrosse & soccer. I still play soccer every Sunday in the fall & spring and lacrosse in the summer. I played lacrosse in college at Stevens Institute of Technology where I was a 4-time First Team All-Conference, 2-time Conference Player of the Year, and 2-time All American Long Stick Midfielder.
What Inspires Me/Why I Coach:
To me, there is nothing more inspirational as a coach then watching an athlete's growth. Whether it is going from band assisted pull ups to full pull-ups or just getting full range of motion on a difficult movement, the look of joy on an athlete's face when they achieve their goal is amazing.
Life/Fitness Goals:
To stay active as I age. It's great that if you just maintain as you age, it looks like you are actually getting better by comparison. I want to be able to be active with my kids when we have them, I don't want to be a couch potato dad.
