WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a unique, functional fitness, strength and conditioning training program designed to increase work capacity (getting more work done in less time) and create balanced fitness.  Workouts are constantly varied yet structured, performed at high intensity (relative to your fitness level) with the goal to train/challenge you in all aspects of fitness.  Performance is evaluated and recorded creating measurable results.  CrossFit is universally scalable and modifiable for all ages and fitness levels.  Our program provides fitness that by design is broad, general and inclusive.  It will develop and grow with you, and will advance as you do, allowing you to continue to take your fitness to the next level.

 

Our objective is to increase your ability in 10 components of fitness, Cardiovascular Endurance, Strength, Stamina, Agility, Flexibility, Balance, Power, Speed, Coordination and Accuracy.  And we aim to have a lot of fun getting you there.

 

What do we mean by Functional Movements?  They are movements that people use during everyday life, picking something up of the floor, lifting up your child or grandchild, carrying your shopping to the car, putting something up on a shelf. We replicate these movements at CrossFit making you stronger for the challenges life may bring. Some of the movements you will train/learn that transfer to everyday life include; squats dead lifts, pushups etc.  We strive to get you moving how our bodies are intended working toward full range of motion.  We equip you to remain injury free by teaching you mastery of technique...mechanics and technique before load and intensity is alway employed.

 

CrossFit/CFC strongly encourages incorporating a healthy balanced diet to support your training and boost your recovery thus enhancing your results.  We are here to support you on your journey

No matter what background you come from whether you are a seasoned athlete, or your first time in a gym. All workouts can be scaled and adapted to each individual’s ability. These adaptations/modifications can be in the form of using assistance aids (such as bands), reduced loads or adapted movements.  CrossFit/CrossFit Clan Performance Center is FOR EVERYONE, it is a fully inclusive program!
